The Shoppes of Wellington Green leased 68,000 square feet to defunct retailers Linens `n Things and Circuit City.

Now that both have closed the property is in default on its loan. But owner Schmier & Feurring Properties of Boca Raton hopes for good news. It’s in serious negotiations with a tenant to take the space, says Bob Schmier. Schmier said both locations were profitable but were victims of the chains’ larger problems.

The Shoppes of Wellington Green is at 10500 Forest Hill Blvd., adjacent to the Mall at Wellington Green. Remaining tenants include Barnes & Noble and Starbucks.
